Four New Anthems released: St James Music Press has just released the latest volume in the Sewanee
Composers' Project series. Volume 16 contains Evelyn Larter’s arrangement of a lesser-known 15th Century English
Christmas song, The Salutation Carol, which tells the story of the visit of the Angel Gabriel to Mary. It is for SATB
choir, soprano solo and organ or piano. The choral parts are mainly unison or SAB. This CD ROM contains 39
anthems for the church year, some larger works and some instrumental and organ music, including hymn settings
for brass quintet and organ. It is excellent value for $79, available exclusively from www.sjmp.com
Abingdon Press has released two jazz arrangements of popular Christmas Carols, Infant Holy, Infant Lowly, for
SATB, solo, clarinet and piano, and Once In Royal David's City, for SAB choir, alto solo, violin and piano.
