New Anthems!

Augsburg Fortress Publications has released five of Evelyn Larter's jazz carols in a booklet titled "Christmas Glee" These accessible arrangements are for solo voice and SATB, with parts for flute and violin on three of the carols. Listen to samples of two of the recordings, God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen and Angels We Have Heard On High. Also includes Unto Us is Born a Son, Away in a Manger and Silent Night. NEW CHRISTMAS CD!

Evelyn Larter has just finished recording a Christmas CD on piano with a gifted young flautist. Daniel Sharp holds a Masters degree in flute performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Currently a member of New Jersey’s Symphony in C (formerly the Haddonfield Symphony), Danny was also selected to play piccolo in the YouTube Symphony last January in Sydney, Australia under Michael Tilson Thomas.

The music on the CD, titled Amid the Winter’s Snow, is mostly Evelyn’s jazz carol arrangements, interspersed with some Bach chorales and other seasonal music – 17 tracks altogether.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4th, 7PM: Christmas Recital at Deerfield Presbyterian Church with Sarah Shafer, soprano, and David Tahere, baritone.
