Students repeat success in national competition!

Organ student Jeremy Proto, 16, has won first place again at the American Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts Festival held on April 14-16 at Bob Jones University. Jeremy and his partner, Nathan Lucas, another student of Evelyn R. Larter, also placed first in the Organ and Piano Duet competition. Over two thousand students from 30 states compete in the different areas of competition.

New Anthems released:

Abingdon Press has released two more anthems by Evelyn R. Larter in contrasting styles. Lead Me To Calvary is an easy setting of the well-known hymn for SATB choir and piano. Alternate text is provided to make the anthem suitable for Communion and for Lent and Easter services. The well-loved Spiritual Go Down, Moses is arranged for SSA voices, cello and piano. It is also suitable as a solo with 2-part choir. www.abingdonpress.com

Tuesday, February 17^th at Oxford College of Emory University, Atlanta, GA: performance of Abolition, a musical drama on the life of William Wilberforce.
Saturday April 4^th at New Hope Presbyterian Church, Fairfax, VA: final concert by Esther Jane Kulp and the Calvin 500 Ensemble at conference on Music of the Reformation and Beyond, with Dr Bill Edgar and Dr Steven Crist.

Sunday, May 3^rd 4PM at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, South Jersey: Spring Recital with Kimberly Bryan, flute and William Priebe, marimba. www.deerfieldpres.org
